who is Haiden?

the name 'Haiden' on this site refers to a character named Haiden in an unreleased web comic/web series which i am collaborating on with my friends whom i consider family from high school. he was designed by the lead artist/lead creative, and was written by me.

Haiden is a ghost. after dying at 17 years of age, his soul was unable to be properly judged and so was sent back to the mortal realm 100 years later as a means of seeing whether his soul would gravitate towards 'The Darkness' or 'The Light'.

in terms of personality, as a character, he was originally meant to be an extremely exaggerated version of myself. in most ways, he still is, but he has since become more of his own character. fragments of me still exist within him, but he is not me, and i am not him. not anymore at least.

what are Haiden's origins?

the web series Haiden originates from is (as of May of 2026) called 'The Nerdy Squad'. the concept of the series was originally concieved in high school amongst my friend group and we have built upon it ever since. its development has slowed a bit since then to a near completely still crawl, but despite the group being busy with our own lives, we are still working on it bit by bit.

narratively, Haiden was a regular person, if a little too caring for his own good. he was gifted in illusion magic but suffered from mental health issues leading up to his death. he awakens 100 years later (when the series begins) as an amnesia-ridden spirit who must unravel his memories and make peace with the hardships he faced in life or be consumed by negative emotion and fall to 'The Darkness'.
